I recently purchased two Arua Pro bass shakers for my couch, and decided to try using the plate amp from an old Boston Acoustics VR 500 I had sitting in the closet before shelling out any cash for a new one. I used a splitter to add a second cable going to the VR 500 amp, which was connected two the shakers wired in series for an 8 ohm load, but was unable to get them to work. I was unable to find any specs on the amp to what impedence it has, so I assumed it was 8 ohms. Does anyone know anything about this amp? Is it possible to get this to work or should I just purchase a new one from parts express?
